“Night at the Museums” is an educational activity promoted by the Museu de Arte e do Colecionismo de Cantanhede (MACC) and the Museu da Pedra, inviting younger participants to enjoy a unique and unforgettable experience within the municipality’s museum spaces.

Usually held during school holiday periods, particularly at Easter and Christmas, this initiative offers children a special opportunity to discover Cantanhede’s cultural heritage in a playful, creative and surprise-filled environment.

Designed mainly for children aged between 6 and 12, the activity takes place over one night at the museums and includes a wide range of educational and recreational activities, such as games, challenges, creative workshops, treasure hunts and other experiences created to encourage curiosity and discovery.

More than just a simple visit, “Night at the Museums” aims to encourage younger generations to explore museums in a different way, promoting contact with cultural heritage, learning through experience and the development of cultural habits from an early age.

In a safe, educational and fun environment, participants have the opportunity to enjoy a special night where discovery, social interaction and imagination transform the museums into spaces of adventure and knowledge.
